Attack & Defense Guide.</div>

 First of learn which units well in attacks only and defense only. Use defense soldiers for defending and attack soldiers for attacking. Please Refer Soldeirs Page to know the soldiers strength.

Defense Strategy </div>

 </div>
Defending with Your Walls: Level up castle walls/battlements/castle gate and towers. This increases defense points of your castle and allows more soldiers to be posted on your walls to defend. 
 
Defense Tools: Tools is important one in defense.  The more tools you have, the fewer defenders you'll need or lose to an attack. See Tools Section to know about various defense tools. Minimum Put 20 tools in each slot. 
 
Waves of attack: There are four wave attack is available to the attacker. He can put soldiers in all flanks to defeat a castle defense. Defender must defend all attackers until fourth wave if defenders lose in the wave attack the attacker get into courtyard easily and win the battle. 
 
Defense Setting:  0 -100 -0 (Normal) 
 
This means you put 100% of your defenses down the center (split it 50/50 ranged and melee). This will make attackers to send their army down your flanks and leave your center alone. This is a big advantage since maximum number of attackers can be put down center and number down flanks is limited. Once the attack comes close to you, you can change the defenses accordingly. 
 
Defense Setting :  50 -0 -50 (Low armies/Simple Attack) 
 
For low level armies only some soldiers can put maximum in left and right flanks- Split defenses according to the weakest flanks of attack 
 
Even if enemy breaks through your center without a fight, if you successfully defend right and left flanks, he will have the -30% attack penalty and will be horribly weakened. Plus you don’t lose most of your defenders in the courtyard. 
 
Also remember melee attackers with melee and ranged attackers with ranged defenders. Also you can maintain ratio of melee and ranged. If any flank attack came with pure ranged /melee attackers you can set ratio to 100% melee/ranged defenders. Remember to remove your attack soldiers away from castle before enemy army hits you. Attack soldiers are bad at defending. Keeping them in your castle will not help your defense at all. If your enemy army succeeds in defeating your defenses, you will lose a horrible number of attack soldiers. If your defense succeeds call your attack soldiers back 
 
Defense Setting: 0 -0 - 100 or 100 -0 -0 (Larger armies) 
 
This means you put 100% of defenders in either right or left flank (whichever has the weaker attack) In this case you are trying to prevent your defenders from being split into small groups, and also to block at least 1 flank attack. You will not lose many defenders at the walls. If your defense succeeds in one flank then the attacker don’t get any bonus ‘0% attack bonus’. 
 
Defense Setting:  33-34-33(Expert) 
 
If you are expert in defense or the attack is weaker and well known means you can defend up 3 flanks and kill all the attackers in the walls easily. 
 
Not defending (Open Gate) 
 
If a powerful attack coming at your castle and you don’t have defenses means open the gate of your castle for a limited time. If the gate is opened defense soldiers won’t fight up with the attacker and your buildings won’t burn. Attackers get some good loot from your castle if u open gate. You will lose your resources and honor. 
 
Defending when you go offline : So you're going to log off to sleep or whatever. But you know that a lot of sneaky bastards choose this time to attack knowing that you won't be online to actively defend. This is how you beat them. Split Defenses like this : 
 
0 -0 -100 or 100 -0 -0 (Best option to defend higher/smaller attacks)

Attack Strategy </div>

<li>Build up an army at least maximum to the first wave attack of a enemy.</li>
<li>Now You got your army , Next important thing is tools. Without tools attack means its suicide attack. Also don’t waste rubies on the ruby tools. </li>
<li>What tools should you use? Well that depends on the espionage report . But you should have at least 12-15 wall attack tools (scaling ladder) and 5-8 gate attack tools ( ram). If your enemy has a significant number of ranged defenders get 6-10 mantlets as well.</li>
<li>'SPY REPORT' – Never ever attack without the latest spy report on your enemy’s castle. More importantly know how to use that report to your advantage.</li>
<li>Always attack the weakest 2 flanks of your enemy. If your spy report shows melee defenders attack with ranged attackers  If it shows ranged defenders attack with melee attackers. </li>

Attack Plan 
 
You must check your commander before attack who are well in attack . Highest combat strength commanders always help to win the attack. 
 
Wave 1(For small attack) – Fill your first wave with fully attackers with combination of melee and ranged .If you’re attacking flanks. Enemy has defense rocks/tar pitch kettle as defense tools. Those tools increase wall protection. To nullify that protection you use tools to decrease wall protection (scaling ladder/siege tower). If enemy uses Flaming arrows or bulwarks – those increase ranged defenders bonus. So you use tools to decrease ranged defender bonus – mantlets or cast iron mantlets! Center flanks attacks usually face gate protection (Caste gate reinforcement/ insulating mat/ portcullis) To decrease gate protection use Battering rams. 
 
Wave 2 (For medium attack ) - These should be your best soldiers and sent to finish up the remaining defenders. If u succeed in first wave the second wave soldiers directly enter into the courtyard and fight . You can use tools for the second wave as a backup if you lost in first wave. If you not lose means your tools will be returned 
 
Wave 3 (For larger attack) – If you are fighting against big level player u can use this wave to get some support of fight in courtyard. Because if the defender get huge support from alliance he has possibility to win in the courtyard even after he lose all the flanks. 
 
Wave 4(Higher level extreme attack & Loot)- This wave is available for above level 51 players . This wave is used to burn up enemies worst. Also for higher loot from enemy castle. 
 
Flank attacks 
 
Don't attack only 1 flank its always a risky  that leaves your attackers with -30% attack bonus meaning you lose a lot of soldiers. Minimum 2 flanks attack left and right helps you always  no matter how weak/strong the enemy is. 
 
Splitting the attack down all 3 flanks must be strong with heavy tools otherwise you lose any of your flanks and get weaken in the courtyard that leads to attack lost.
